Privacy policy for this website
One language cookie, and a calendar that loads only when you ask it to. This page explains what that means, and what this policy does not cover.
Last updated
This policy covers this website only — the public pages that describe Secrets Manager. It does not describe what the application does with the material its customers keep in it: the application is a separate service, with its own terms, accepted inside it.
It's short because there's little to say. There's no account to create here, no form to fill in, and nothing about you is stored on any server of ours.
What we collect
Nothing, with one exception: a cookie that remembers the language you chose. These pages don't ask for your name or your email address, there's no user registration, and we build no profile of anyone who visits.
The page where you book a call is the one exception to that, because it shows another company's calendar. Nothing happens there without a choice of yours, and it has a section of its own below.
The one cookie we write
It's called SM_LOCALE, and it only comes into existence when you click the language switcher at the top of the page or in the footer. Never touch it and the cookie is never written.
- Contents: one of three words — pt, es or en. Nothing else, and nothing that identifies you.
- Lifetime: 180 days from the moment you choose.
- Scope: it's a cookie for this site, with SameSite set to Strict. It doesn't travel with you to another site, and no other site can read it.
- What it's for: showing you the site in the language you picked, instead of guessing again on every visit.
- How to remove it: through your browser's settings, like any other cookie. Without it, the site goes back to guessing your language from your browser and your country, and it doesn't remember the answer.
No analytics
We run no analytics tools, no tag manager, no advertising pixels and no social buttons, on any page. The typefaces are served from this site rather than fetched from anyone else.
On every page of this site but one, your browser makes no request to any other company's server at all. The exception is the booking page, and even there only after you press the button. That's why this site still never asks you to accept cookies: without a choice of yours, there's nothing to accept.
The booking page, and Calendly
To book a call we use Calendly, a scheduling service based in the United States. It is the only third-party content anywhere on this site, and it is on that one page.
The calendar does not open with the page. Only when you press "See availability" does your browser fetch the code from assets.calendly.com and open the calendar inside it. Until you press it, Calendly receives nothing and never learns you were here.
After you press it — and because the request comes from your browser rather than from our server — Calendly receives your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you came from. It may also write cookies of its own, under its policy rather than this one. If you go on to book, it also receives whatever you type into its form: your name, your email address and anything you put in the message.
What Calendly does with that is Calendly's to state, in its own privacy policy: calendly.com/privacy. We get no copy of its logs; of what you write there, what reaches us is the booking.
If you'd rather load nothing from Calendly, don't press the button. That same page carries an email address, and we'll book the call by hand.
The hosting provider's logs
This site is published on Vercel. Delivering a page means the hosting platform processes the technical details of the request — the IP address, the time, the path, the browser's user agent — as happens with any site on the internet. We add nothing to those logs, we tie them to no profile, and we don't use them to identify you.
When you leave
Links out of this site lead to pages that aren't ours, and what those pages do is the responsibility of whoever publishes them. The Secrets Manager application is one of them: it carries its own notice.
When this text changes
The date at the top changes with it. We don't publish a version history; if you need to know what it said before a particular date, ask us.
