Why they use it

Finance teams

Finance holds the credentials that move money: the banking portal, the company card, the tax portal. They want the narrowest sharing and the most deliberate access — masked by default, revealed field by field, flagged when they get old.

The shortest membership

The finance vault is shared with two people, not with the whole company.

The card as an item of its own

Cardholder, number, expiry, and CVV. Masked, revealed one field at a time, copied without reaching the screen.

Nothing stalled

Health flags whatever has not changed in more than twelve months, so nothing sits collecting dust on a password from 2021.

How they manage secrets

  1. Create a Finance vault and share it only with the people answerable for it.

  2. Add the banking logins, the company cards, and access to the tax portal.

  3. Keep the numbers masked; reveal one field when you actually need to use it.

  4. Store the context as a secure note: accountant, tax ID, renewal dates.

  5. Review health once a month and rotate anything weak or old.

Questions

Does the card number ever show in full?

Only when you reveal that field, and only on that screen. By default it is masked, and copying works without revealing.

Can we limit who sees the finance vault?

That is the point: sharing is per person and per vault. Two members is a normal setup, and anyone outside it does not see the vault in the list.

Who can read these values on your side?

Nobody. Encryption is end-to-end and happens in your browser: what lands on the server is ciphertext, and we cannot read the contents of a vault.
